Date: 2021-01-04 05:34 pm (UTC)I probably shouldn't, but I envy this, lol! I can't lie to save my life. Even little lies, like a surprise party. My face gives me away every single time.
bean-to-bar chocolate making
That sounds very cool.
card games
I love playing cards! I don't have anyone to play with these days. I played with my grandmother when I was young and miss it (and her) dearly.
cat
We acquired (unplanned) a cat last March (took in my aunt's cat) and I have discovered that I love being a cat mom. *g*

Date: 2021-01-04 05:56 pm (UTC)Making chocolate is cool, but very finicky and time-consuming. I mainly do it because I'm vegan but I love milk chocolate so I make my own with coconut milk.
Playing cards ftw! What games do you play? It's definitely something that older generations did, and I don't know why it's died out millennials when board games are having a total renaissance. The hipsters (or maybe gen z by this point) really need to get on card games and make them cool again. :D
Being a cat mom is the best. Unplanned cat acquisitions that turn into lovely friendships are so sweet.

Date: 2021-01-04 06:40 pm (UTC)My grandmother taught me pitch and rummy and crazy 8. I learned pinochle when I was working for an office one summer; they played on their lunch and afternoon breaks and taught me - it was so much fun. Now I'm forced to play cards on my phone, lol!
This poor cat had such a bad reputation before we took him in and discovered he was a cuddle bug and really sweet. (We [my family and I] have since decided that the common denominator with all of my aunt's 'mean' cats has been my aunt, so take that as you will. *g* Even when I took him to the vet for a check-up, they couldn't believe it was the same cat because he was a perfect angel.) Also, it turns out kitty litter pans don't stink up the house if you actually scoop daily and change the litter regularly. Who knew?!! *g*

Date: 2021-01-22 12:51 pm (UTC)Right! It works in different directions, too. Gives you recs - well, examples of works that fit a trope/genre. I've also used TV Tropes (or Wikipedia) to look up canons I've already found, as a kind of confirmation. Is this going to be about the thing I think it's going to be about?
What board games do you like? (Or card games!) How is your Italian?
