Staycation Retrospective

The year is ending and I had a bunch of use-it-or-lose-it vacation time, so I took a staycation. I was really excited to get a bunch of stuff done around the house, and I kept myself really busy all week. Here's what I managed to accomplish:

- Baked Christmas cookies
- Got snow tires put on my car
- Got my oil changed
- Took our big comforter to the laundromat to wash
- Organized my bookshelves
- Organized my instagram props
- Cleaned the bathroom and organized the closet
- Researched places to stay for an upcoming trip
- Got about 90% finished with my quilt project (just the binding left to do!)
- Finished *most* of my Christmas shopping (probably still need 1-2 more errand runs to be completely done)
- Finished three and a half books

When I sum it all up, it really doesn't seem like that much for a whole week of time off. But it felt really productive at the time, so I guess that's what counts!

Yay productivity! I have a little over week's worth of PTO I need to use before March and I halfway think I want to go somewhere, but I'll probably do...this.

I whole-heartedly approve! :D It's almost more relaxing than having to worry about trip planning and travel arrangements and all that.

Hey, sounds like a pretty productive week to me! This list actually reminds me of...several things I should do soon, haha. (Although I did get my snow tires put on too, high five!)

Haha yeah, I definitely felt like I was busy all week. I guess I had my hopes set a little high. But getting my snow tires on was a big one. Last year I put it off until it was pointless and we ended up getting almost 200 inches of snow over the whole season. :P So yes, definitely high fives to snow tires!

Oof, yeah - last year I didn't get snow tires put on either (I needed to buy new ones, and I didn't want to) and it was pretty rough. I'll be driving up through your neck of the woods in a few days to visit my family for the holidays, so I didn't want to get stuck in a lake effect snow storm without them. ^_^;
