In my opinion it was nowhere as good as the first one. Silver in the Wood had this quiet magical feel to it, and I don't think Drowned Country came even close to replicating that. "Quite forgettable", my review says, which is pretty damning after the gorgeous imagery of the first book. But your mileage might vary!
